About Cliffhanger Cottages - Your Hosts

Ingrid and Barry Young started Cliffhanger Cottages in 2005 and are the friendly faces to welcome guests and support them throughout their stay.

They are inventive and artistic, true lovers of nature and you will appreciate their exceptional sense for detail in your cottage. Between them they can receive you in English, Afrikaans or Dutch. If you are a kite-surfing enthusiast, you'll enjoy chatting to Barry and you will have to search far to find someone more passionate about walking in the forests of Knysna (or the Camino!) than Ingrid. They put their money where their mouths are ;)

Since we are not pet-friendly or child-friendly to kids under 10 (because of how the cottages are poised atop the valley), it really makes for the most peaceful Knysna couples' getaway possible. If you have special requests (e.g. for a romantic hamper to surprise your partner on arrival; a couples' massage etc), please chat to Barry and Ingrid - they will certainly try to assist you if it's possible and given enough notice.
